OUR Site

A quiet, tranquil site based just outside of the main village, we have something for everyone. Numerous grass areas for children to roam free and let their imaginations run wild.

Running through the site is the Market Weighton to Bubwith 'Rail Trail', a public bridleway providing a perfect, picturesque walk from Major Bridge Park into Holme upon Spalding Moor which hosts a number of local pubs offering home cooked food, various takeaways, a bakery, a cafe, and convenience stores. Dogs are very welcome on our site and the Rail Trail is an ideal route for 'walkies'.

Whether you want to be together with your friends in an open space or somewhere more secluded down by the woods we are sure you will find the ideal pitch here at Major Bridge Park. As we are a fully grassed site with no hard standings or designated electric posts, we are able to offer the freedom of choice when it comes to siting your tent or caravan. (Options are more limited if electric hook up is required).

free range eggs available
Toilet block
shower facilities

We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival, the pitches are grass with plenty of room. The showers and toilets were spotless, Brilliant for a dog walk down the old railway about 3 mile to the West and 2 to the East, we walked to Market Weighton on of the days and caught the bus back, they’ll drop you off right outside the gate The site is well maintained with easy access. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you

If you are looking for a friendly site with owners who care and look after you well you have found it, set in open countryside covering three fields one with electric hook ups.
A quiet site plenty of room for kids to play and if you like walking you can walk the old disused railway track that runs through the middle of site.
Shops in village about a mile away also open until 10pm handy if you forget anything, good pubs serving food also cafe and chinese in village.
If you want a nice break give it a go we go every year and would recommend, another point you are only 20 mins from York, Coast 45 mins and moors an hour

A recent visit to Major Bridge Park proved most enjoyable. This is a very quite site situated in the Yorkshire countryside and proved to be remarkable value for money. The facilities offered are basic but adequate and are clean and tidy. It would make an excellent rally venue. The owners were certainly very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This site is a must for classic car enthusiasts as the owners have a selection of classic cars and also offer classic car repairs in there extensive workshops. We will certainly visit again
